Wellness platform for creators

A holistic lifestyle and consciousness platform where practitioners in yoga, meditation, breathwork, nutrition and spiritual education earn from their expertise. Roy is the founding engineer. Working AI-first, a handful of people built and launched in a few months a platform whose scope would normally take several teams much longer, with creators keeping 80% of gross revenue.

What changed

A creator platform with four revenue streams is live, built in a few months by a handful of people working AI-first instead of several teams.

What was at stake

The company is building a holistic lifestyle and consciousness platform: a place where practitioners across yoga, meditation and breathwork, wellness and nutrition, and spiritual education run their own channels and earn through subscriptions, courses and direct sales.

Creators in this space usually stitch five tools together. Course platforms host videos but bring no audience; subscription tools add a paywall but no discovery. The company's bet was one ecosystem (subscriptions, courses, direct sales, community and live) under a single brand. That is a lot of product for an early-stage startup, and it handles real money from day one.

A founding engineer and a small, AI-first team

Roy is the founding engineer, building the platform from scratch with a handful of people. AI runs through the whole development process: it does the design groundwork and the unglamorous majority of the build, while a few experienced people decide what to build, keep the product coherent and hold the quality bar.

In a few months that team built a platform whose scope would normally take several teams many months more.

A brand channel that brings the audience

The biggest structural decision is a platform-run brand channel with its own subscription. Instead of every creator having to bring their own audience, the central channel drives discovery and sends members on to individual creators. The platform grows the creators on it rather than waiting for them to grow it.

Money that settles correctly from day one

Creators keep 80% of gross revenue, across four streams running in parallel: recurring per-creator subscriptions, one-time course purchases, content priced individually and sold in messages, and the platform's own brand-channel subscription. Payouts, subscriptions and purchases were designed to settle correctly and stay auditable from the first release, because money is the one part of a platform you do not get to fix later.

What changed

An early-stage company has a live creator platform with four revenue streams, built by a handful of people in a few months rather than by several teams over many more. It is adding capabilities steadily: ticketed live sessions, a platform-wide premium tier and commerce are on the way.
